CitySocialising, the social networking and events company, has hired Hot Cherry to create an online communications campaign for the launch of the brand across major cities in the UK including Brighton, Leeds and Manchester.

With start-up funding from The Prince’s Trust, CitySocialising was created to help young professionals integrate more easily into city life and create new networks of friends. Since its launch in January 2005 CitySocialising has grown with a network of over 10,000 members and aims to grow ten-fold in 2008.

The online communications campaign by Hot Cherry will promote CitySocialising’s key features as well as the regional launch events. The key features include: being able to connect online and network with CitySocialising Groups. An open dialogue will be created with young busy professionals via national and regional blogs, forums and new online communities. The public will also have the opportunity to engage with the brand via online research and user generated content. Hot Cherry were hired given their online campaigns for clients including Ford and Channel 4.

Sanchita Saha, founder of CitySocialising said: “CitySocialising strikes a chord with young busy city professionals and provides the perfect platforms for online networking and real life local socialising. We’re confident that the brand will be as well received across the UK as it has been in London. Our target audience are heavy internet users and like to engage with brands online so it makes sense to think like our consumers and use online as the vehicle to engage and interact with them.”
