Cheil Worldwide appoints Diana Cawley as head of global retail

Ex-managing director of Arc London joins Cheil Worldwide, headquartered in South Korea

Cheil Worldwide has boosted its senior management team with the appointment of Diana Cawley as head of global retail. The hire is part of an ambitious global growth strategy by Cheil Worldwide.

Cawley, who was managing director of Leo Burnett Group’s brand activation shop Arc London, will report to Cheil Worldwide COO Michael Kim. Her remit is to strengthen Cheil’s retail capability across the global network through shopper insights and creative thinking.

Cawley has been in the advertising industry for 26 years, during which time she has worked with a wide range of clients including: Bosch, Coca Cola, Chrysler Jeep, Halifax, P&G, McDonald’s, Samsung and Tesco.

Cawley’s achievements include numerous new business wins including major pan-European accounts for Kraft Europe and Unicef. She was also responsible for the growth of Arc over her three-year period as managing director, increasing staff numbers from 80 to 145.
During her time at Arc London, Cawley also held positions as head of experiential and deputy managing director. Prior to this, she was at Triangle Group London (acquired by Publicis Groupe in 2001), for 16 years, which included a six-year stint as managing director of retail agency, Storm.


Cawley is a member of numerous trade body management boards including the Marketing Agencies Association and Institute of Practitioners in Advertising Client Service Group.
