LOLA’S Bakery offers uncomplicated and sophisticated cupcakes to Londoners looking for a teatime treat. Based in Primrose Hill the handcrafted cake business was looking to extend its retail offering.

Brief: Sheridan&Co was tasked with designing and installing a ‘cupcake bar’ in the prestigious Food Hall at Selfridges, London in keeping with the LOLA’s brand and ethos.

Response: We created an inviting area displaying the colourful decorated cakes, plus a seating area of tables, chairs and a banquette where shoppers can buy cakes to take away, or linger with a coffee and enjoy a cake on the spot – or indulge and do both. The design features wood and glass displays set against a backdrop of white on which sits the LOLA’S brand identity. Sheridan&Co has adapted the existing powdery, sugar-dusted monochrome logo into a solid, multi-coloured brand which visually projects more effectively in a retail landscape.
