Rotary Watches “Design your own watch” Flash application

Client: Rotary Watches
Obergine designed and developed the Flash application that allowed site visitors to choose their own case style, case colour, bezel, dial and strap; creating their own perfect watch in 6 quick steps. The application allows users to share their customised watch via social media channels Twitter and Facebook and enter a competition to win their custom watch. Additionally, in order to accommodate Rotary Watches’ plans to extend the available watch options beyond the Aquaspeed brand throughout 2010 and beyond, the app has also been built to be highly scalable; and supports a management interface that enables new watch components to be added as required.

Brief: Rotary Watches wanted to showcase their watchmaking innovation credentials by creating an online application that allowed site visitors to design their own watch, shared with friends and ordered online.

Testimonial: We’re all really excited to be launching this new tool that finally allows our consumers to put themselves in the watchmakers studio and let their imaginations run wild! Our ideas have not only been realised by Obergine’s expertise but they’re also pushing the boundaries by using new technologies and integrating social networking, which allows our visitors to share their watch creations with their friends and the world!
