Hachette Filipacchi is the largest magazine publisher in the world. Within their portfolio of glossy titles is Elle – arguably one of the most famous women’s magazine in the world
Brief: We were asked to design and develop an application which was aimed to sit within the elle.co.uk site, and function as an online lookbook, displaying the latest trends and fashions available from the retailer Littlewoods.
Response: The application took the aesthetic of appearing as an actual magazine, and the user was able to flick through the magazine’s virtual pages, browsing over complete outfits, footwear, accessories etc as well as being able to click through to find out more information on the products that interested them or caught their eye.When developing the lookbook, we also built a Content Management System (CMS) for the client to be able to add extra images and accompanying copy as more items were added to particular collections throughout the duration of the season.Initially launching the application with barely a dozen items, this flexibility was of great importance to the client, as we ended up with over one hundred fashion items uploaded.
