Velvet lands Cheil UK account

Cheil UK, part of South Korean integrated communications group Cheil Worldwide, has appointed marcomms specialist Velvet as its retained PR agency.

Velvet will provide strategic PR support to Cheil UK as it embarks on an ambitious growth strategy. Velvet with work closely with Cheil UK’s top management team as well as its global PR counterparts in Korea and the US to aid the agency’s new business drive. The account will be led by Velvet associate director Bhavna Mistry and founder Jo Sensini.

Cheil is building a reputation for integrated, innovative campaigns that are effective and award winning – the agency recently won the SXSW Digital campaign of the year accolade and the Cannes Grand Prix for its Tesco Home Plus campaign.

Cheil is Velvet’s second new business win in recent weeks. The agency has also been appointed by Cannes award-winning mobile marketing specialists Movement to grow its profile and raise awareness of the services it provides for brands.

Velvet specialises in providing public relations support to clients in the marketing services space, working for agencies and other suppliers across the full range of marketing disciplines including advertising, design, digital and social media.
