Mobile marketing agency Movement has appointed marcoms specialists Velvet as its retained PR agency.
Movement, which was awarded a Bronze Lion at the 2012 Cannes Festival for its work with Coca-Cola’s Move to the Beat campaign, provides mobile strategies, optimised sites, apps, CRM and mobile messaging campaigns to clients including Coca-Cola, Vodafone, ADT, SEAT, Virgin Media, Barratts Shoes, Cancer Research UK and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer.
This is the first time that Movement has appointed a PR agency. Velvet has been briefed to grow Movement’s profile and raise awareness of the services it provides for brands.
Velvet specialises in providing public relations support to clients in the marketing services space, working for agencies and other suppliers across the full range of marketing disciplines including advertising, design, digital, market research, shopper, experiential and social media.
Jo Sensini, founder at Velvet, said: “Movement is an exciting agency that is really grabbing the attention of the mobile marketing industry at the moment. To be one of only a small handful of UK companies to pick up an award in Cannes this year really gives you an idea of the quality of work it is producing.
“Movement is a perfect fit for Velvet; whilst we work with agencies from across the marcoms spectrum Movement is our first mobile-only specialist. Mobile is becoming an increasingly significant tool for brands to engage with consumers and it’s a great time to be working with an agency that is really going places in a sector that is now delivering on its promise.”
