Following her success, in 2000 the first signature fragrance was born; Ghost the Fragrance. Now, with a total of 9 fragrances in the collection – Ghost released 5 30ml special gift sets in time for the 2014 Christmas period.
Originating from a British fashion house, Ghost was created in 1985 by Tanya Sarne – an aspiring designer who possessed an indisputable eye for the changing demands in how women wanted to dress. Following her success, in 2000 the first signature fragrance was born; Ghost the Fragrance. Now, with a total of 9 fragrances in the collection – Ghost released 5 30ml special gift sets in time for the 2014 Christmas period.
After purchasing a glittering handbag and remarking on its ‘sparkle’ effect, the team behind the design of the new Ghost gift boxes went to Falconer Print & Packaging for advice on sourcing a material to match the effects. Richard Martin, Managing Director at Falconer, contacted the team at Mirri to look at available options.
Darren Howard, Business Development Manager at Mirri, was able to present Falconer with a new product, Mirri Sparkle. The new product offers customers a distinctive ‘glitter’ texture that sparkles in the light.
The high quality metallic film is laminated to a premium white backed folding box-board. The surface of the film is treatable with print, as well as other print finishing options, from foil blocking to screen processes, enabling customers to create extremely attractive and unique options.
Once the material was sourced, Falconer chose to use a patented ‘fold flat rigid box’ design created by Concept Packaging. The design of the box enabled Falconer to produce a strong, striking product that competes with a rigid box design whilst giving the added value and quality finish of a litho printed carton. The design also had approval from the contract packers, Lemonpath, who were able to quickly turn around the packing.
As well as the new Mirri Sparkle, Falconer also used Mirri Pak Silver supplied as folding boxboard, printed in 5 different shades, to create the outer packaging.
In total, 500,000 gift sets, over 5 different fragrances (Ghost Sweetheart, Ghost Cherish, Ghost Eclipse, Ghost Deep Night & Ghost The Fragrance) were produced. The Ghost fragrances were launched in time for the Christmas gifting market and will also be sold into 2015
