Available in English, French and German languages, the new site boasts an entirely new look and feel plus a number of new features designed to engage its audiences - from commercial printers and blue chip organisations to amateur and professional photographers.
It has been designed and built by Manchester based digital agency Code Computerlove.
Core to the new website is its intuitive product selection functionality. The Find a Product tool helps customers decipher the right product for them from the broad portfolio of brands offered by ILFORD including GALERIE, ILFOCHROME, OMNIJET and BioMedia. Customers can then easily locate their nearest stockists and distributors through an all-new Where to Buy section.
A new content management system means the site can be updated easily and facilitates its campaigns and competitions, including monthly winners of its Flickr photographic competition who feature on the home page. There are also sections for news, events and the ILFORD blog.
The striking visual design helps to differentiate ILFORD from competitor brands and to clearly communicate the different markets in which ILFORD is active. The brand’s products, services andcredentials are presented in a way that has a wide appeal across creative and commercial audiences.
Jane Dixon, ILFORD Director of Global Marketing, said: “We have introduced community aspects to our digital presence and integrated social media tools into the site. This not only helps us to engage with our audiences via the site, but facilitates social sharing among our customers.
“We are particularly enjoying having the freedom to publish the winning images from our Flickr competition on the homepage of the site – which keeps content fresh, interesting and relevant.”
Jane added: “Stronger calls to action and the Where to Buy feature will help us to increase sales through our retailer networks. New stockists can be added easily to ensure this is always up to date and we have added features to help us to promote related products to existing customers.
“There is also a comprehensive customer support area that helps users of our products get the best out of them. This also helps to reduce inbound enquiries regarding printing and paper types.”
