Creating With Photoshop & Illustrator Seminar

By popular demand, the Association of Illustrators (AOI) are pleased to have secured the services of Photoshop/Illustrator expert, Guy Gowan, to run a one day training seminar. Attendees of the AOI's Digital Seminar last year will have experienced Guy’s engaging and entertaining ability to teach and not just simply present. This seminar will present those of you familiar with digital technology the shortcuts, tips and knowledge to further your digital creativity. It is also a way for beginners to gain digital skills and understand what Photoshop and Illustrator can help you to achieve.

Guy has over fourteen years experience in the reprographics industry, mastering the delicacies of high resolution scanning and colour correction, as well as embracing the complexities and change of a digital revolution, including the first generation of electronic page composition systems. This experience enables Guy to react to and relate to, the every day working pressures of his attendees. Having presented seminars for over ten years for some of the largest software and hardware companies in the world, Guy has built his steadfast reputation on reliability and recall.

The seminar will include:

how to use Photoshop from input and origination to composition and creativity
scanning including colour and tonal problems
retouching and producing a good quality image to work with
making the best use of features such as masking, channels, layering and painting
using Illustrator as a tool in generating and working with your creative idea including the relationship between vectors and bitmaps
an appreciation of how Illustrator works in combination with Photoshop and features of the latest edition.
